Virtual Premarital Education
$155 (2 hours session)
A lot of couples have shared with me their interest in premarital education. They’re serious about stepping into marriage with the tools to make it work and keep it thriving.
I like to call it pre-wedding education. Why? Because let’s be honest—many couples have already been living together for years before making it official. But even when you’ve been cohabiting, the transition to married life can bring its own challenges. You still want to enter this next chapter fully prepared and on the same page.
That’s why I offer private, one-on-one sessions tailored just for you and your partner.
Now, you might be asking, “Will premarital education save my marriage?” While I can’t promise that, what I can offer is a space for us to talk openly about the issues that can quietly (or loudly) tear a marriage apart and the key elements that keep a relationship strong, healthy, and thriving.
In our first session, we’ll explore some of the common destructive factors that can bring negative energy into a marriage and how to address them. I won’t spend time spelling out the positives—you already know what it takes to keep love alive when you’re both willing to put in the work.
This is your opportunity to deepen your connection and build a strong foundation for the beautiful journey ahead.

THREE FACTORS THAT PREDICT A SUCCESSFUL MARRIAGE
1. Effective Communication & Active Listening
2. Resolving Conflict
3. Realistic Expectations
If you’re experiencing any form of abuse in your relationship, this workshop is not the right place to find a resolution. I strongly encourage you to seek the support of a professional family therapist, psychiatrist, or psychologist.
Please note: The DC Marriage Knot does not provide couple counseling. Our goal is to offer marriage education in a group setting for couples preparing to marry, whether they are living together or apart.
