Hospital Marriages

Bedside Legal Weddings

hospital marriage

We have been providing bedside marriages in DC hospitals for more than 14 years.  Unfortunately life is unpredictable and getting married is often put on hold.  When a loved one is suddenly hospitalized, panic sets in.  You have to make decisions for him/her, and you have to be able to visit without restrictions.

We like to be available to assist during those times, even on a moments notice.  Our officiant Starlene welcomes your call.

She understand your needs and will do what’s necessary to lighten your load.   Speaking with you is the first step.  Then she follows through with securing your  DC marriage license, so you can stay at your loved ones side.

She travels throughout Washington DC providing mobile marriage services at nearby hospitals.  Below is a list of hospitals she currently serve.  This is not all, she also perform marriages at nursing homes for those who wants their aging relative to witness their nuptial.

  • George Washington University Hospital
  • Georgetown Hospital
  • Howard University Hospital
  • Providence Hospital
  • Sibley Memorial Hospital
  • Washington Hospital Center

Recently a lovely couple, Alex and Michael, married at Washington Hospital Center.  He was alert and concern about his affairs being in order and everyone he owed was compensated.  Providing him and his fiancee with a same day marriage, was the answer they were seeking.

Michael was scheduled for surgery the next day.  So the timing was perfect.  Starlene responded immediately, secured their DC marriage license, and provided a secular service with one witness present.

Many times family or friends are gathered in the room as support.  Out of respect to the couple, their family, and friends she only provides non-religious mobile services.

Starlene is ordained, well known at the DC marriage bureau, and registered with the DC Superior Court as a public officiant.

She’s ready to assist you in 3 steps.

  1. Complete and email us the DC Marriage License
  2. Parties to the marriage must send clear copies of their current drivers license, state issued photo ID, or military ID
  3. Payment (invoice and contract sent electronically for immediate action)

We’re here to help, so contact us.  202-253-3629
